Think Education IV : Education and Human Consciousness

 The knowledge of Self (Brahman) is liberation and ignorance is bondage. This Self is pure, immortal, present in all and only one and Supreme Reality of Universe has been described as Sat. The highest order of consciousness can be attained only with the knowledge of self. 

Through the relationship of teacher and student the knowledge is learnt, based on the trust, confidence and commitment. A student goes through the process of learning with a belief that he will execute the knowledge and experience the results in this world. But for an awakened self the teaching of information and execution is not required. Self consciousness or human consciousness is awakening.

The knowledge comes from the disciplined practice, the routine execution of knowledge, perform the duties, till realization of self through work. Krishna narrated in Bhagbat Gita that a man can gain the supreme knowledge with the discipline of learning, discipline of speaking and discipline of equanimity. 

Education is perceived to be the system to produce creative human being worthy to be responsible for their actions, for their speech and for their thoughts. Students are guided by the teacher on subject, path is shown and after that they are left alone consciously to travel in that path unconsciously and reach at the destination, envisioned by them. The pupils, those who are diverted in between spend their lives in search of happiness through materialistic pleasure, accumulation of wealth, possession of materials, capacity to spend money. For that, the teacher and student should be together in the journey, sometime in consciousness of student or sometime unconsciousness of student for attainment of wisdom.

People say, spirituality has nothing to do in my life, some people say science has nothing to make in life, some say we do not know whether reading literature can build up characters, we do not know reciting poems can help us to solve issues in life, we know what we need to live. Sometimes, we talk about the profession, skill to earn the means for external happiness. Too much focus on finding ways for gaining means through education loose its insights and values, which takes us away from the eternal happiness. 

The teachers should put the subjectivity to the subject to educate the mind, through the consciousness of mind to the self, which is unbiased. The awakening of human consciousness, knowing the value of human life and realization of power of self is education. Such education can lead the whole human race for experiencing of eternal happiness and fulfilment of existence. 

Experience is an aggregate of acquaintance of knowledge with different situations and reasons to deal with different situations are dealt with universal knowledge, the law of nature. Education Concerned with progress of humanity, driven with the consciousness of compassionate actions and powered by realization of self, can bring peace, happiness and resilience in the Society.

      Really it is a very nice represenation between a teacher and a student.A student definitely follows the path of an ideal teacher in his life ,even he /she can remember him/her through out life. Nothing can replace the education ,it is really a precious gift of God to human being. The author has emphasized nicely all these in this article. Really the defination of education representing a nice outlook about a humanbeing.

    The article is truly presenting the eternal relationship between the student and teacher which is difficult to measure through materialistic means. The author has brilliantly explained the same in simple words which can impact the thought process of both.
